Ramblings...

So yeah my default image is a bottle of Scotch. Not just any Scotch, but 20 year old single malt Scotch. This is a limited edition of Bruichladdich, a Scotch distilled and bottled on the Hebridean island of Islay. I haven't tried it because it is $175 a bottle, but I have tried the 10 year old ($39.99) and it is one of the best Scotches I have tried.

So, if you win lotto and are wondering what to get me for Christmas, there you have it. The perfect gift. :)

So what about me? Besides having a taste for Scotches I can't afford, and being a beer connoisseur which sounds better than snob, don't you think, I tend to have eclectic multifaceted tastes.

For example, I'm a fan of Classic Rock and Classical, equally at home with Beethoven, Bach, Brahms, and Boston, Aerosmith, and The Pink Floyd. I'm into amateur photography with a 35mm camera and astronomy. I read Science Fiction. I enjoy the Latin Mass. I also enjoy the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom. There are not many people, even Catholics, outside of the Orthodox and Eastern Rites who have ever heard the Divine Liturgy. I'm a fan of good Church architecture and architecture in general. I love old ballparks like Fenway and Wrigley.

Politically I'm somewhere to the right of Attila The Hun, but you have to remember that Attila was a flaming socialist. :)
